Step into real-world engineering at Sanland Equipment, a New Zealand-owned designer and manufacturer serving quarrying, mining, recycling and heavy construction across NZ and the Pacific.
You'll be mentored by a Senior Mechanical Engineer and get real responsibility from day 1, building serious kit : rock crushers, vibrating screens, conveyors and turnkey processing plants.
What you'll do
Design and manufacture machines and production plants for bulk material processing and handling (crushers, screens, conveyors).
Own projects end-to-end : concept, detailed design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and operational support.
Plan and stay organised : manage project timelines, requirements, BOMs and documentation.
Work with our in-house workshop team and external fabricators to ensure builds match drawings and specifications.
Visit client sites to gather requirements and identify performance improvements.
Get hands-on helping our manufacturing and site service teams when needed.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks / Inventor / AutoCAD or similar).
Full working rights in New Zealand.
A genuine interest in manufacturing processes and big machinery, plus a practical, can-do mindset.
Strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to stay organised across multiple jobs.
Nice to have (not essential)
basic FEA, fabrication / welding knowledge, hydraulics, materials handling experience, PLC / controls familiarity, or site commissioning exposure.
