0.33 Learning Support Coordinator, 0.67 Teacher

Twizel Area School seeks an innovative and collaborative learning support coordinator (LSC) to lead inclusive practice across our Y1–13 kura in the stunning Mackenzie Basin.

This is a pivotal leadership and coaching role dedicated to ensuring all ākonga participate, progress, and thrive. You will directly impact learning by :

• Leading & coordinating : Managing the SENCO and teacher aide team, coordinating support flow, and ensuring smooth student transitions.
• Coaching & modelling : Guiding kaiakoin best practice, particularly in differentiation and high-impact interventions.
• Collaborating : Working seamlessly with ākonga, whānau, staff, and external agencies to achieve equitable outcomes.

We seek a fully NZ registered teacher with experience supporting diverse needs, strong relational skills, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Resourcefulness and a deep understanding of pedagogy are essential.

The successful LSC will help shape our future as we transition into a state‑of‑the‑art, purpose‑built school facility in 2026.

This combined role includes a teaching commitment. Applicants must outline their curriculum strengths, experience with Te Mātaiaho, and track record in implementing junior / middle school literacy and mathematics initiatives.
