We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Graphic Designer to join our Community Relations Team.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for creating high-quality publications, photography, advertising and digital communications that showcase the unique character of Rangi Ruru Girls' School.This is a hands-on and varied role where you will design and deliver impactful materials across print and digital channels.
You will also capture engaging photography that reflects our vibrant school life and contribute to content creation for our social media platforms.We are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, deliver to deadlines and thrive in a collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will have strong technical design skills, a creative eye for photography, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining attention to detail.To be successful in this role you will bring : A relevant tertiary qualification in design and at least three years' experienceProven skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoshopExperience in photography and photo editing with a strong creative visionA good understanding of design principles, typography and print productionExcellent organisation and administration skills with strong attention to detailThe ability to work independently and as part of a team, building positive relationships with a wide range of peopleA proactive and flexible approach to meeting project needsExperience with video editing, CMS administration, email marketing or Google Analytics would be an advantage.You will be joining a team that is passionate about leading the way in independent education and having fun while doing it.Commencement date : immediate start (or by negotiation).

DesignCreate innovative design concepts for Rangi Ruru publications, events, advertising, online, signage, presentations, promotional material and other requirements, based on internal client briefs, targeted to appeal to specific audience / s.Meet with internal and external clients to interpret the concepts they want to communicate from the brief.Together with the Communications Manager, project manage the design requirements for advertising and campaigns as per campaign schedules ensuring supplier deadlines are met.Collaborate with and be guided by the Communications Manager and Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure Rangi Ruru Brand Guidelines are upheld, processes are adhered to, and quality of deliverables is consistent.Actively research and contribute new design ideas that will help Rangi Ruru achieve its business objectives.Ensure the storage, naming conventions and archiving of all design assets are consistent, up to date and organised in an efficient manner.2.
PhotographyCapture high-quality, engaging, and creative photographs that align with the Rangi Ruru brand.Proactively capture significant happenings, events, and celebrations within the school to authentically showcase our community.Collaborate with the Communications Manager to plan and execute photoshoots that meet specific objectives.Edit image files to ensure that they meet standards for quality and style.Ensure the storage, naming conventions and archiving of all photography is consistent, up to date and organised in an efficient manner.3.
Digital CommunicationsTogether with the Communications Manager, plan, create, schedule and report on engaging, on brand and innovative social media content across all social channels.Ensure the storage, naming conventions and archiving of all digital assets are consistent, up to date and organised in an efficient manner.4.
