• $90,025 - $123,231We're looking for a Senior Operational Policy Analyst to join our Regulatory Services team at Te Tari Taiwhenua, the Department of Internal Affairs.This role is about turning policy and legislation into practical, fit-for-purpose tools that help our frontline teams do their work well. You'll lead the design and delivery of operating models, procedures, standards, and guidance that support our regulatory systems - including anti-money laundering, gambling, anti-spam, and censorship.You'll bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a clear understanding of how operational policy connects to real-world outcomes. You'll also help shape business improvements and support change across the Directorate.We're looking for someone who :
• Has experience in regulatory or operational policy work
• Can translate complex legislation into clear, usable processes
• Is confident leading projects and supporting others
• Understands the importance of working in partnership with Māori under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
