Overview

Join Northpower's Foundation Crew and help power New Zealand’s future. We’re looking for experienced and reliable Foundation Crew Members to undertake a wide range of civil and foundation works on the transmission grid. You’ll be part of a supportive team with a strong safety culture and opportunities to further develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing work sites – identifying hazards, checking equipment, and setting up the site safely
Trenching, foundation upgrades, and civil works around transmission lines
Installing equipment and cables, moving materials, and general labouring
Reading and interpreting underground obstruction plans
Maintaining tools, PPE, and Northpower property to a high standard
Proactively identifying and reporting safety risks
Contributing to a high-performance, safety-first team culture

Experience

Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence (Class 2, 4, 5 or tracks endorsements are a bonus!)

Strong safety record and a commitment to safe working practices

Physically fit – capable of lifting, digging, and performing manual tasks

Good communication skills and sound literacy

Reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a team

Previous labouring or civil construction experience is preferred
