Are you a proactive public-sector professional with a passion for people and performance? We're looking for a Senior Adviser to support the Director of Recruitment, Leadership and Talent and their leadership team in delivering a high-impact programme of work that shapes the future of our organisation. Our mahi is all about ensuring we have safe, supported, capable staff thriving in their mahi across our four workforces.
This is a broad and dynamic role where you'll bring your business process expertise, insight, and people-focused mindset to help drive alignment, efficiency, and innovation across the group. The Senior Adviser will need to be able to balance long-term strategic work with staying reactive to critical, time-sensitive tasks that crop up in the day-to-day running of the function. Most importantly, you will support our Directors and SLT to focus on their most critical mahi.
What you'll be doing :
Your days will be varied and fast-paced. From presenting at a group forum, to responding to an OIA or pulling together information for a high-level report, you'll be at the heart of our work programme.

This role is based at our National Offices in Wellington. While we do offer flexibility, candidates should expect to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week—and up to 5 when required.

Ideally, you're currently operating at a Senior Adviser level in a public sector organisation, with experience supporting senior leadership teams or business groups. A background in business support combined with a passion for people and organisational development will set you up for success. Professionals with a mix of governance and operational experience in large organisations looking for their next challenge could also be a fit for this opportunity.

The midpoint of the salary range is $119,013 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $101,162 - $142,816 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
