The Opportunity | Site Operations Manager – Facilities Maintenance

Reporting to the Waitematā Facilities Manager, the Site Operations Manager will be required to manage and implement planned preventative maintenance plans alongside staff, sub-contractors and stakeholders ensuring the Waitematā District site facilities assets are maintained, operated, and reviewed in accordance with its Asset Management Plans and Operational standards. This role is critical to ensuring that ageing infrastructure is modernised to meet future healthcare demand and sustainability goals.

As the Site Operations Manager, you will oversee the operation of Mason Clinic and Waitākere Hospital Facilities functions to ensure efficient, high quality, customer focused services are provided in a safe manner and ensure clear consistent leadership is provided to suppliers and service providers to meet those site’s requirements.

Travel between hospital sites across the Waitematā District is expected as part of the role and so, a current driver’s licence is essential.

What You’ll Bring

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic infrastructure professional who can operate with influence and integrity in a complex public sector environment.

You Will Bring

10+ years’ practical, post-trade experience in a multi trade environment ideally in a campus, portfolio type or critical service environment where all-round engineering and building maintenance knowledge was essential; as well as at least 5 years’ experience proactively managing staff / contractors.

Thorough understanding in the various, current NZ building codes and compliance requirements.

Accomplished at delivering work programmes against specified time constraints and budget requirements.

In-depth knowledge of contemporary facilities maintenance management methods, techniques, and standards as well as detailed knowledge of most trades and services (including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and fire services).
