Marine Heavy Diesel Lead

OverviewRealNZ is seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Heavy Diesel Lead to oversee the delivery of heavy diesel maintenance across our marine assets.

This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on technical challenges, team development, and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of Heavy Diesel Technicians, delivering scheduled and reactive maintenance across RealNZ's marine fleet.Maintain compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.Provide expert technical support in heavy diesel systems, including fault diagnosis and engine rebuilds.Collaborate across sites to manage workflows and support safe, efficient operations.Contribute to project planning and implementation, balancing maintenance priorities with resource allocation.Be available for urgent maintenance needs as part of the on-call roster.QualificationsTrade qualification in heavy diesel or mechanical engineering (NZQA Level 4).
