IT Technician (Part-Time) - Part Time

About the Project The Ōtaki to North of Levin (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency while increasing transport choices for a growing population.

The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Onsite IT Technician (Part-Time) to support the Ō2NL project team across multiple work sites within a 20km radius of Ōtaki – Levin.

Working approximately 20 hours per week (2.5 days), you will provide frontline onsite IT support, assist with equipment setup, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operation of project IT systems. Occasional remote support may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support to project teams across multiple work sites
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, network, and software issues
• Assist with onboarding, equipment setup, and user access requests
• Maintain accurate logs, escalate issues when required, and ensure timely follow-ups
• Support the Project IT Manager with system improvements and operational needs
• Deliver excellent customer service and build strong working relationships with project staff
