Boning Room Assistant

Our Timaru production facility is New Zealand’s largest pork specialist abattoir and butchery operation. Our dedicated team of over 65 staff process around 4,000 pigs per week.

We are looking for a Meat Production Assistant to join our Boning Room team. The highly skilled team work at pace and know their trade.

The key part of this role is to support the Boning team with set up and workflow to ensure products are ready for distribution. This includes equipment set up, wrapping, strapping product, scanning, moving product to the chiller and keeping the room tidy.

To be successful in this role you will :

Be organised and flexible to respond to production requirements

Have effective and proactive communication skills

Have a good understanding of Food safety requirements

Need to be physically fit due to the physicality of the role.

A forklift licence will be advantageous.

Starting at 5 : 30am, you’ll work 5 days a week Monday to Friday.
