About The Mahi (role)

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our supportive and experienced hospital and community rehabilitation team in Wellington.

This is a flexible role that gives you autonomy over your schedule, with the ability to manage your own diary and complete administrative tasks from home and support a healthy work-life balance.

As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will deliver services across ACC contracts (including Training for Independence, SRNA, Solora, and Concussion) as well as private community work. You\'ll work toward realistic KPIs that prioritise quality care and professional development.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver patient education, training, treatment, and rehabilitation in community settings
  • Liaise with external partners (e.g., specialists, GPs, ACC) to support client rehabilitation
  • Complete documentation and administrative tasks remotely
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, experienced team
  • Maintain high standards of client care while meeting service KPIs

You will be joining a large, experienced team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists with 2 to 25+ years of experience. We pride ourselves on clinical excellence, a culture of wellbeing, and a fun, social work environment.

  • Skills and Experiences

    About You

    We are looking for someone with a great attitude and a genuine commitment to clinical excellence . You\'ll need to be a team player with strong communication skills and a client-centred approach.

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience (community rehab experience a bonus, but not essential)
  • A passion for hospital and community-based rehab
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own caseload
  • A current NZ Practising Certificate, Professional Membership, and Indemnity Insurance
  • A full, clean driver’s licence
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
  • A positive, proactive mindset and a commitment to ongoing learning
  • Full orientation and ongoing support will be provided to help you thrive in your role.
