About the Role
As an Investment Analyst, you'll play an integral role in supporting Health New Zealand's commissioning and investment planning activities. Working within the Planning, Funding and Outcomes directorate, you will provide analytical and statistical insights that help shape national and regional investment decisions. Your work will inform service design, cost modelling, performance monitoring, and long-term planning — all focused on improving health equity for Māori and other priority populations. You'll work alongside commissioning teams to develop analytical tools, interpret complex datasets, and communicate key insights that enable data-driven decision‑making.

You'll be part of a collaborative team of analysts and advisors who provide critical insights and intelligence to guide evidence‑based investment and commissioning decisions. The team's work supports the design, delivery, and evaluation of services that improve health outcomes and strengthen system performance across Aotearoa.
About you
You are an analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and turning data into meaningful stories. You have a strong technical background in data analysis, modelling, or statistical reporting, and you can translate your findings into insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
