Machine Operator

Operate horticultural machinery with best practices to maintain the aesthetics of ideal kiwifruit land as well as to assist the growth and protection of conventional kiwifruit growing by using and application fertilizers and chemical spraying.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Planning and coordinating with manager on current and future job locations

2. Irrigation and fertilizer analysis and application,

3. Optimize timing of key milestones required for maximum canopy fill and subsequent crop growth. (Spraying and fertilizer)

4. To operated safely and professionally all agricultural equipment

5. Required to work irregular hours during the height of the season

6. General orchard maintenance

7. Spraying, mowing and any other work related to orchard

8. Support other teams and aspects of our operation various orchards in the Te Puke region

9. Keeping up to date with new practices, techniques and products.

10. Maintaining a safe working environment and practices for all parties

11. Maintaining machinery equipment for efficient use
