We’re offering a permanent opportunity within the Financial Registries Team, which sits in the Registry Operations area. The team administers financial reporting compliance, the Disclose and Financial Services Providers registers, the Climate-related Disclosures register, and related legislation such as the Companies Act 1993 and the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

The purpose of the Senior Technical Services Advisor is to administer compliance functions thereby enabling all corporate entities to meet their filing obligations under the relevant legislation. The Senior Technical Services Advisor is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practices in relation to the team’s work.

Responsibilities

  • Administer compliance functions to enable corporate entities to meet filing obligations under relevant legislation.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of advice and practices within the team.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Sound experience with registry systems
  • Well-developed analytical thinking and the ability to identify critical issues and develop workable solutions to complex problems
  • Understanding of how legislation governs operational services (e.g., Financial Reporting Act 2013, Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, Financial Service Providers (Disputes & Resolution Act) 2008)
  • Ability to assimilate new technical information quickly and communicate it to a diverse audience
  • Ability to assess workflows, prioritise work, and adapt to pressures and changes
  • Focus on providing quality service to customers
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships and share knowledge with staff, providing constructive feedback
  • Ability to work innovatively with a forward-looking and proactive approach
