Te Kura o Hato Hōhepa Te Kāmura is a state-integrated Māori-Catholic kura for Y1-8 students, situated in Kāeo, in the beautiful Far North.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, forward-thinking, team-oriented leader who will inspire our mokopuna and kaimahi in their education and faith journeys, and who is passionate about building strong, respectful relationships with students, their whanau, staff, and our Sacred Heart parish faith community. It is equally important that the successful applicant has an excellent understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and current teaching practices.

We seek a strong leader who will :

• Be passionate and committed to quality teaching and learning based on our Catholic faith and special character, including Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
• Have exceptional leadership skills and a passion for teaching and learning
• Be an excellent and approachable communicator who puts our tamariki and our community at the heart of decision-making
• Create a positive, collaborative and caring environment
• Understand how to motivate and develop the capabilities of others
• Inspire our teaching staff to continue to grow, innovate and develop their future-focused pedagogy
• Be actively involved in the wider life of the school
• Be active in displaying our values of pono (truth), tika (integrity), aroha (love) and hūmārie (humility)
• Be culturally responsive

A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointment.
