You will be joining a small team that allows for excellent access to theatre time.There is support available for training courses required for programme entry to Cardiothoracic training.

Opportunity to complete your Part 1 studies in a supportive environmentOpportunity to complete a required rotation in our intensive care unitAs one of the three dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Registrars in a team of four, it is expected the successful candidate will become an integral member of the serviceAbout the LocationThe main cities and towns in the Southern District include Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown, and Wanaka.

You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at minimum of two years post qualification experience and ideally applicants will already have Registrar experience in this speciality, however this is not essential.It is requirement of the Medical Council NZ that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.

If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
