The Role : Senior Full Stack Engineer (Founding Engineer #1)

This is not a typical "developer" role.

This is a foundational technical position, where you will :

Architect the entire system

Build the first version end-to-end

Make critical technical decisions

Shape engineering culture

Grow into Tech Lead / Head of Engineering

You will work directly with the founder to turn a deep-tech vision into a production-ready platform used across Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Ownership

Build the entire platform from PWA frontend ? backend services ? cloud infra.

Deliver MVP from concept ? design ? implementation ? deployment.

Architecture & System Design

Design secure, scalable, privacy-by-design architecture.

Make sound technical trade-offs and document decisions.

Security & Cryptography

Implement secure key management, hashing / HMAC flows, identity tokenization.

Implement consent logging aligned with PDPA privacy principles.

Data Engineering

Build event pipelines, de-identified data models, and analytics systems.

DevOps & Infrastructure

Set up CI / CD, monitoring, logging, Docker infra, and cloud deployment (AWS / GCP / Azure).

Must-Have Qualifications

Technical Skills

Backend : Go (preferred), Java, or Python.

Frontend : React or Vue.js with TypeScript (PWA experience preferred).

Database : PostgreSQL, Redis.

Cloud : Production experience with AWS / Google Cloud / Azure.

DevOps : Docker, CI / CD, monitoring tools.

AI Tools : Able to use AI / LLMs to speed up development.

Bonus : Experience in SaaS, Loyalty systems, Platforms, IoT, or Fintech.

Core Engineering Capabilities

Strong system design and architecture thinking.

Ability to build independently from 0 ? 1 with minimal supervision.

Writes consistent, maintainable, scalable code.

Soft Skills

Thrives in ambiguity and startup pace.

Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.

Able to clearly explain technical concepts to a non-technical founder.

Bilingual (English + Mandarin) preferred for cross-market communication.
