Job Description

As a Food & Beverage attendant, you will have the perfect opportunity to touch the hearts of our guests by making their dining occasions truly unforgettable.

With a combination of breakfast, lunch and dinner service, this role has plenty of variety.

You'll work alongside the Food and Beverage Team to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests, assist with enquiries and restaurant bookings.

Assist guests with menu offerings and maximise sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.

Effectively take orders and ensure accuracy by repeating order(s) to the guests.

Input orders promptly ensuring the kitchen can fulfill their duties effectively.

Ensure that dockets are written clearly and correctly for inputting into the POS (point of sale) system.

Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.

Be knowledgeable of and operate within the Food Safety Program (e.g. Awareness of allergies and dietary requirements).

Maintain hygienic food service techniques at all times.

Maintain clean and neat presentation of bar and restaurant area(s), following set opening, closing and daily procedures.

Take responsibility for your designated section and station.

Promptly answer the telephone and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.

Involved in the service of a variety of functions and events.

Setup and reset specific Conference & Function activities as directed.

Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.

Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.

Notify your manager / supervisor if you require assistance.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role you will have :

Previous experience in food and beverage, bar, barista, or hotel service roles is preferred but not essential

Excellent Customer Service Skills

A friendly and professional attitude with a passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences

Comfortable operating coffee machines or working behind a bar (training can be provided)

A team player who can adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment

Strong communication and time management skills

Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods and lift / carry light trays or equipment

Flexibility to work a rotating 7 day roster with shifts that may start as early as 6am or finish late at night

Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices
