We're looking for a Fixed Term Health, Safety & Contractor Management Advisor to support a key project reviewing and improving contractor management processes across our sites.Mo te turanga | About the RoleIn This Fixed-term Project Role, You WillReview current contractor management processes and recommend improvements.Implement agreed changes to ensure legal and organisational compliance.Work closely with contractors on inductions, audits, training, and safe work practices.Carry out site inspections, safety walks, and monitor contractor compliance.Maintain accurate records and support incident reporting and investigations.Provide advice to managers and help embed improved processes into business-as-usual.Promote strong safety culture and uphold HDC's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.To Korero | About You4-5 years' health and safety experience working with contractors.Strong understanding of HSWA, HSNO, and relevant Codes of Practice.Experience reviewing safety documentation (JSEA / JSA, permits to work).

Confident communicator able to build strong relationships with contractors.Organised, detailed, self-motivated, and able to work independently.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.Full NZ driver's licence.Understanding of te ao Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi (or willingness to learn).
