Community Cafe Assistant

Te Whare Roimata is seeking a reliable and community-minded volunteer to join our Tiny Shops Village Cafe team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has a warm and patient approach, and wants to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive neighbourhood space.

Tasks include :

Preparing simple food items

Making hot and cold drinks

Cash handling and customer service

Keeping the cafe area clean, tidy, and welcoming while consistently adhering to our food license regulations and requirements.

You will work closely with and take direction from the Cafe Coordinator, ensuring the cafe operates smoothly and provides a supportive environment for everyone who visits.

We'd love to hear from you if you have an interest in supporting vulnerable members of the community.

You will be able to demonstrate empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.

You will be friendly, reliable, and happy working in a small team.
