Field Service Officer - Whakatane

Field Services Officer / EMS in Whakatane.

As an EMS (Electronic Monitoring Service) Field Officer at FIRST Security, you will be responsible for ensuring electronic monitoring equipment is correctly installed and working properly on people in the Community serving a non-custodial sentence.

You will attend locations such as courts, prisons, and residential homes, as required to conduct these installs or call outs.

You will be our first point of contact for any equipment failure or alert activations and will liaise with our field support team to ensure issues are attended to and fixed quickly.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain electronic monitoring equipment for clients in the community serving non-custodial sentences.

Attend locations such as courts, prisons, and residential homes for installs or call outs as required.

Be the first point of contact for equipment failures and alert activations; liaise with field support to resolve issues quickly.

Work on a 24 / 7 rotating roster and participate in other business sector activities if required.

What we need you to have

'Can do' attitude

Excellent people and listening skills with the ability to build relationships

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to think on your feet quickly in challenging environments

Physical fitness and the ability to handle stress and pressure

A current full NZ Driver's Licence

Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check

A current Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one

Role specifics

  • Rotating roster
  • Pay rate starting at $23.50 per hour
  • Pay rate of $27.80 per hour when fully trained in EMS.
  • Hours of work – 24 / 7 rotating roster
  • Full and ongoing training provided
  • A supportive team environment
