Temp 2nd Engineer- 50m Private MY – Auckland, NZAre you a deck / engineer or 2nd engineer available for some temp work?

OverviewA well run 50m private motor yacht is search of a temp 2nd engineer to join them in NZ for a brief maintenance period.The vessel's permanent 2nd engineer will be taking some annual leave and the incoming temp 2nd engineer will be working under an experienced chief engineer assisting in projects / maintenance as required.ResponsibilitiesJoin the vessel in Auckland for approximately one month (16 Oct – 16 Nov) and participate in onboard watch duties as part of the rotation.Assist the chief engineer with maintenance tasks and project work during the period.Live onboard for the duration of the assignment.Requirements / QualificationsMust hold an AEC or NZ equivalent qualification / licence.Must have a bit of engineering knowledge (perhaps a trade background or time spent on previous vessels).

Prepared to live onboard the vessel during the time onboard and be part of the watch rota.Period : 16th Oct – 16th Nov (1 month).

OtherSalary : Paid in US dollars and based on experience.Yacht would prefer candidates within the NZ / Aus / Asia region for a short flight to join.
