Position

Physics Subject Matter Expert – Contract.

  • Compensation : $65–$75 per hour.
  • Location : Remote.
  • Commitment : 15–20 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate asynchronously with a team of experts in Physics.
  • Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.
  • Elevate the quality of AI models by integrating domain expertise.
  • Work independently to improve AI model performance.
  • Ensure high-quality outputs in Physics through rigorous problem solving.

    • Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Physics from a top U.S. university.
  • Experience coding in Python and MATLAB for projects or research.
  • Field-specific experience in Condensed Matter Physics, Optics, Quantum Information / Computing, Computational Physics, Astrophysics, or Particle Physics.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, U.K., or Australia.

    • Start Date

  • Paid up to 1 hour for onboarding time, including screening and onboarding videos.

  • Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.
  • Paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
