Job Location
Based in Hamilton, Waikato, with occasional travel to the Bay of Plenty as needed to support our teams across both regions in this dynamic, needs-based role.
Job Type
This is a full-time (40 hours) permanent position from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Creation : Develop and maintain employee work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and operational needs.Staff Coordination : Collaborate with Client Service Managers to understand staffing requirements and address scheduling issues or conflicts.Compliance : Ensure schedules comply with employment legislation e.g. working hours, company policies, and WorkSafe NZ.Communication : Using our system CONNECT IT system to build rosters, notify employees of their schedules, any changes, and address any scheduling concerns promptly.Data Management : Maintain accurate records of schedules, time off requests, and shift swaps.Problem Solving : Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, last-minute changes, and employee availability issues.Customer Service : Remains calm and professional at all times, excellent customer service skills especially when dealing with challenges of rosters with service users or staff.Reporting : Generate reports on scheduling metrics, such as overtime, staffing levels, and compliance.System Management : Utilize scheduling software to create and manage rosters effectively.Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and implement best practices.The role will cover the area of Central North Island (CNI), and this role will be supporting the Client Services Managers in Waikato, and Bay of Plenty as required.Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration, human resources, or a related field is a plus.Proven experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a similar industry.Strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in scheduling software and MS Office Suite.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.Knowledge : Familiarity with employment working hours law, company policies, and WorkSafe NZ related to working hours.The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.If you thrive in a role where precision and coordination make a real difference in people’s lives, we would love to hear from you.Salary
