Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira is the mandated iwi authority for Ngāti Toa Rangatira.

Through their Pou Whakamana programme, they are creating pathways for whānau to build wealth, for whānau‑owned businesses to grow, and for people to access services that enhance their mauri ora.

Pou Whakamana represents a step‑ in iwi‑led economic development — redesigning how prosperity flows to whānau through values‑led procurement, financial empowerment, and business support.

We are seeking a passionate, skilled individual to help deliver this kaupapa :

Principal Advisor – Iwi Business Services (#119)

A senior role for an experienced project and programme leader who can turn strategy into delivery.

You’ll work alongside the GM Iwi Business Services to lead complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives that drive systemic change across the Toa economy — including

• A financial empowerment platform enabling whānau to grow intergenerational wealth.
• A kaupapa Māori procurement framework redirecting regional spend into whānau‑led enterprise.

You’ll bring strong project management expertise, experience working in or with Māori organisations, and the ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and kaupapa.
