Job descriptionOperate side curtain, single semi-trailer combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to multiple sites across the Auckland Metro Area. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant. Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation. Comply with all company / site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws. Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is strapped for secure transportation. A valid Clean Class 5 Licence. A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience doing multi-site drops, operating a Class 5 Single Trailer Truck is essential. Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or B-Double Trailers is highly desirable. Sound knowledge of the Auckland region. Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws. Locations : Based out of Onehunga / Wiri Auckland.
Hours : Min 40 hours, full-time permanent position working on AM Shift (5am start) with our Visy Freight Division.
