Job Description
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position in Dr Prateek Bansal's Research group at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
The project involves understanding preferences for Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), estimating its effect on public transport, and quantifying system-level emission impact of MaaS.
Responsibilities
In-depth review of literature.
Designing and conducting stated preference experiments.
Developing and estimating discrete choice models.
Devising optimization-based approaches for system-level MaaS design by integrating results from discrete choice models.
Creating an agent-based model to simulate the emission impact of MaaS.
Qualifications
PhD in Travel behaviour, Management, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, or related disciplines.
Good understanding of discrete choice experiments and model estimation.
Strong background in optimization methods.
Proficiency in programming econometric models in R, Python, or MATLAB.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
Open to fixed-term contract.
About the Role
The successful applicant is expected to pursue independent as well as collaborative research, participate in writing grant proposals, and supervise doctoral / postgraduate research students.
Location : Kent Ridge Campus, College of Design and Engineering, Department : Civil and Environmental Engineering.
