Overview
Leading and supporting across multiple sectors, this role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.
Responsibilities
Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors
Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
Master plan and feasibility budgets
Estimating
Cost checking of developing design
Value engineering
Tender evaluations and analysis
Contract negotiations
Cash flow projections
Procurement
Cost reporting
Evaluation of variations
Payment recommendations
Final account reporting
Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
Investment analysis
Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
Qualifications
10+ years project experience
Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas : Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction
Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software / Cost X
Demonstrated track record of winning and managing projects
