Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator, based at our Distribution Centre in Wiri and reporting to the Transport Lead. This is a key role that supports the smooth running of TWG Distribution Transport operations, ensuring they are managed in a professional, productive, and cost-efficient way while maintaining high service levels.
Key responsibilities include :
Coordinating the day-to-day scheduling and dispatch of transport activities across TWG’s Distribution Centres and stores.
Monitoring delivery performance and working with carriers to ensure service levels are met.
Managing transport documentation and reporting, including delivery records, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
Building strong working relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Supporting the continuous improvement of transport processes to enhance service and efficiency.
Ensuring costs are controlled and aligned to budget through effective daily monitoring.
Assisting in problem-solving transport issues quickly and effectively to minimise service disruption.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, attitude is just as important as experience. You’ll bring professionalism, curiosity, and a drive to build effective relationships and get things done. You will also have :
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
2–3 years’ experience in logistics, transport, or distribution.
Competent computer skills, including Excel, with high levels of data accuracy and speed.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively.
A team mindset, with the ability to coach and mentor others.
Desirable :
Previous experience in transport coordination or carrier management.
Experience in managing change and driving process improvements.
