The Chinese Restaurant is a well-established dining destination in Auckland.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join us in our exciting family restaurant.
As a part of our dynamic and friendly team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and ensuring the highest level of service is provided to all our customers.
Duties include :
Train, motivate, and supervise staff
Organise functions and events
Manage stock levels including purchases
Ensure customer satisfaction with meal and overall service
Ensure that the restaurant is up to date with health and safety regulations
Plan menus and pricing with the chefs and provide inputs regarding popular / unpopular menu items and new menu items
Develop and maintain a regular presence on social media platforms
Ensure that food, labour, and marketing costs are within the allocated budget
Maintain a record of the invoices, payments, deliveries, cash, and other financial transactions
The requirements for this position are :
A minimum of 2-years’ experience in a supervisory role within a quality restaurant or a relevant tertiary qualification
Must hold or be eligible to qualify for a Manager’s Certificate
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Be willing and able to work weekends and on public holidays
Have the legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
This is a permanent position working 30-35 hours per week.
