The successful applicant will be passionate about teaching and learning in Y 4–8 and will share our school values of M anaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, Tika / Pono and Rangatiratanga.
An understanding of Structured Literacy (BSLA) and Maths (Numicon) would be an advantage.
You will :
Have a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and a strong foundation in the structured literacy (BSLA) and mathematics (Numicon) approaches
Demonstrate highly effective teaching practices including the use of assessment for learning strategies and data analysis to inform planning and accelerate student outcomes
Have strong pedagogical knowledge in literacy and mathematics
Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and flexibility to teaching in a multi-level classroom
Build strong trust-based relationships with students, staff, and whanau to create a supportive learning environment
Engage with the Professional Growth Cycle and ongoing professional development
Use digital platforms such as Google Docs to support student learning
Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
Contribute positively to the ongoing improvement journey of the school.
