# Ward Clerk - General Medicine (ward 68)

  • Fixed term part-time (20 hours per week, 0.5 FTE) opportunity at Te Toka Tumai
  • Provide clerical support to ward staff as well as patients, whanau and caregivers

  • About the Role
  • General Medicine at Te Toka Tumai, part of the Adult Medical Directorate, is in search of an experienced administrator to join our team as a Ward Clerk.

A supportive and dynamic team with numerous opportunities for the ideal candidate to upskill and grow.

This role requires someone who wants to work 20 hours per week.This is a 7-month fixed term from the end of November

  • to the end of June
  • .As a ward clerk you will :
  • Provide clerical support to the General Medicine ward 68
  • Being the first point of contact for visitors and internal clients to the service and providing a high-quality customer-focused approach through face to face and telephone contact.
  • Perform various administrative tasks associated with the smooth operation of the clerical aspects of the service; including data entry of Patient Information into the relevant IS systems and administration of clinical records and associated documentationFor further details, please refer to the position description .
  • About you
  • As an ideal candidate for this role, you will :
  • Have at least 2 years of admin / reception experience (experience in the health sector is beneficial)
  • Be proficient in computer skills and MS Office
