People Coordinator

Silver Fern Farms is seeking a motivated People Coordinator to join our site-based team in Balclutha. This role provides essential coordination and administration support across the full spectrum of People activities, ensuring smooth processes and great experiences for our team members.

You’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries, supporting seasonal recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and learning activities, while ensuring that our systems and processes run seamlessly. Additionally, you will provide key support for the International Worker cohort at the Finegand plant.

By partnering closely with the People Advisor, Employment Coordinator, site leaders, and our wider People team, you’ll contribute to delivering efficient, people-focused services across our network.

The People Coordinator plays a critical role in making sure every team member has a positive experience throughout their employment journey, from joining Silver Fern Farms to growing their career with us.

Ōu Pūkenga | About You

You will be organised, highly detail-oriented, and passionate about people. Ideally, you’ll bring :

• Previous experience in administration or coordination, preferably within HR, recruitment, or payroll.
• Strong systems capability – comfortable using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
• A proactive, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to juggle competing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Experience with NZ employment law and a sound understanding of HR processes will be advantageous.
