We're looking for a Data Engineer to take a lead role in scanning, classifying, and mapping our diverse and interconnected systems.
Your work will be critical in supporting the planning and execution of large-scale data migrations.
You'll draw on your expertise in data profiling, data quality, and migration, using tools like Informatica to uncover how data flows across our technology landscape.

MSD – services for the future is a multi-year programme to transform how we operate so we can deliver for New Zealanders and focus our resources and investment on the people who need it.
The programme will make significant changes to our underlying systems, processes, and introduce redesigned services that put people first.
As part of MSD's Information, Data, and Analytics workstream, you'll play a key role in scanning, classifying, and mapping metadata across a wide range of interconnected systems.
Your work will help uncover how data flows across our environment and support the planning and execution of complex data migrations.
To succeed in this role, you'll need experience in data profiling, data quality, and data migration, along with strong proficiency in data management tools such as Informatica.
We are particularly interested in people with data quality knowledge.
The Data Engineer will work closely with a cross-functional team of Principal Advisors, Business Analysts, Data Architects, and Data Scientists, collaborating with our Transformation and Technology teams to enhance our data and information maturity in preparation for large-scale transformation.
Responsibilities
Experience with data management tooling such as Informatica.
Demonstrated experience analysing source data structures and target systems to plan migrations.
Demonstrated experience producing detailed test scripts to support data migration.
Strong collaborator who can connect with our Transformation and Technology teams, business analysts and business process designers.
Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure the delivery of repeatable patterns
Documents procedures, mappings, and workflows.
Experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Azure
Experience with dimensional modelling concepts and design.
Qualifications
