Through integration and collaboration, we'rebuilding a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability,whanau-centred care, and excellence.Aboutthe RoleWe are seeking a passionate andinnovative Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health Team as ClinicalLeader in Occupational Therapy.As Clinical Leader you willprovide day-to-day clinical, professional, and cultural leadership to the OccupationalTherapy team ensuring equity of care and evidenced based practice for ourcommunity.

You will work closely with the Allied Health Leadership Teamsupporting the Allied Health Team Managers in clinical aspects of recruitment,onboarding, professional development and waitlist management.

You willcontribute to the strategic planning of Allied Health including development ofthe Rural Generalist Capability Framework.Aboutthe TeamTe Tai o Poutini West Coast OccupationalTherapy Team consists of nine (when fully staffed) dynamic OccupationalTherapists based in Greymouth, Westport & Hokitika who support ourcommunity throughout the West Coast (Karamea to Haast).

The team covers allaspects of in-patients, out-patients and community settings including physical& mental health, working within a Rural Generalist model of care.AboutyouYou will be a New ZealandRegistered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of five years clinicalexperience (ideally with a basic understanding of equipment procurement,physical & mental health, medical & surgical support, paediatrics) witha passion for leadership and developing the profession, ensuring equity ofsystems and evidence based practice in the Rural setting.Experience with clinical teaching,training and development of staffExperience in quality / serviceimprovement activities.Experience in people leadership ormanagement is desirableCompetencywith te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting yourjourney and taking ownership of your learning and growthWorkingfor Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses'.
