Advisor

MBIE partners with a diverse range of Crown entities, statutory boards and Crown companies to deliver on the Government's goals and objectives. These include regulators like WorkSafe New Zealand and the Electricity Authority, delivery agencies such as New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and Tourism New Zealand, and Crown Companies such as The NZ Institutes’ of Earth Sciences, Bioeconomy Science, Public Health and Forensic Science.

Role Overview

As an Advisor, Science and Enterprise you will lead guidance, advice, assessment, and support on all aspects of performance for economic development and / or science Crown entities and companies that MBIE monitors. You will sit at the nexus between performance monitoring, data and systems analysis, and policy advice and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead guidance, advice, assessment and support on performance for Crown entities and companies.
• Exercise professional judgment in scoping, shaping and planning advice and projects in complex and sensitive areas.
• Work across performance monitoring, data / systems analysis and policy advice / evaluation.
• Advisory on strategic direction and performance of Crown entities, establishment of accountability and funding arrangements, and strategic and policy advice / evaluation.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships within MBIE, across other Government agencies and with Crown entities and companies.

Salary and Benefits

Salary $75,114 – $93,724 + KiwiSaver + wellness benefits, Wellington CBD.
