Casual position available - on call covering sick leave / annual leave
Permanent part-time position available - 0.6FTE (24hrs per week)
Shifts are across Monday - Sunday, Morning, Afternoon and Nights

About the Role
Kaikōura Health are looking for a Casual and Part-time Kaiāwhina (HealthCare Assistants) to join our wonderful rural kapa (team). This is a greatopportunity to tautoko (support) and give back to your community - please indicate in your cover letter which role(s) you are interested in.These roles varies from day to day depending on therequirements of Kaikōura Health, but ultimately you will be there to work incollaboration with the nursing teams to make sure that the facility is runningsmoothly and to its highest potential; in both Long Term Care and the MedicalAcute area. This could mean preforming a variety of tasks supporting the nursing teamto provide manaaki and awhina to both residents and tūroro (patients) withpersonal cares and their activities of daily living.This includes :
Assistance with meals
Moving and handling
Hygiene cares
Cleaning and tidying the ward, stocking and supply ordering
About You
You will have the following skillsto be successful in this role :
Strong customer service skills
Fantastic organisation skills & the ability to learn quickly
Ability to communicate and build relationships with people from all walks of life
You will have a kind and caring nature
A strong work ethic is an integral part of this role. The areas can be a challenging and busy work environment so your ability to multi task and use your initiative will be key to this role.
Knowledge of Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, Te Ao Māori is desirable
