- We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to step into the role of Manager Mental Health Quality & Practice within our Pae Ora Services business group while we permanently appoint into the position.Reporting to the Chief Mental Health & Addictions Officer, this role leads a dedicated team focused on developing and improving mental health practice and policy across Ara Poutama Aotearoa.
You will provide subject matter expertise and strategic leadership to ensure safe, high-quality mental health services are delivered to people in prison.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of mental health strategy and practice frameworks.Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align services with sector standards and legislation.Support national clinical governance and operational policy development.Champion inclusive leadership and professional development within the team.About YouWe're looking for someone who :Has at least 7 years' experience as a mental health clinician.Brings strategic thinking and leadership experience in health settings.Has strong knowledge of mental health practice, policy, and legislation.Demonstrates a commitment to working effectively with Maori and upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Is a respected leader with a track record of driving change and building collaborative relationships.Has experience in developing clinical policies, quality frameworks, and service design.Qualifications and RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualification in mental health or related field.Proven leadership experience in the health sector.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your interest and suitability for the role by11pm Sunday 16 November| Location : | Wellington (Te Whanganui a Tara) || Attachment : | (PDF, 196KB) Position Description |
