We’re hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a backend-focused testing role supporting enterprise systems. This 4 to 6-month contract offers the chance to extend and is based in Auckland, with a flexible hybrid model.

In This Role, You Will

• Develop and execute automated tests using Java and Shell scripting.
• Focus on backend system testing including JPOS and SOA service layers.
• Work closely with developers, analysts, and release teams in a CI / CD pipeline.
• Use tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Jira to manage version control and delivery.
• Contribute to automated build / test processes with Cloudbees; basic experience with Chef is a bonus.
• Support performance testing initiatives and apply TDD / BDD where appropriate.
