As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in arts and event management, work alongside a dynamic and collaborative team, and see the inner workings of a major cultural festival from behind the scenes. Every role contributes to the smooth operation and success of the festival, and your efforts will directly impact both attendees and artists, creating moments that inspire, connect, and entertain.

Roles Available

• Operations Lead : Coordinate logistics, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure the festival runs like clockwork. You'll be the backbone of the event, keeping everything on track.
• General Manager : Oversee the entire festival's admin and office operations.
• Venue Leads : Manage festival venues, from setup to event flow, making sure all events run safely, efficiently, and smoothly for audiences and artists.
• Front of House Managers : Welcome and guide attendees, coordinate volunteer ushers, and create a friendly, professional, and seamless experience for everyone attending the festival.
• Marketing / Media Lead : Drive awareness and excitement for the festival through social media, press, and creative campaigns and be part of capturing the event on the day. You'll help tell the festival’s story and engage audiences locally and globally.
• Sponsorship Team Leads : Build meaningful partnerships and secure support for the festival. You'll help grow the festival, maintain relationships with sponsors, and ensure partners have an exceptional experience.
• Community Leads : Liaise with schools, cultural organisations, and community groups, connecting the festival to a wider audience and fostering engagement across the Bay of Plenty and beyond for our Waterfront event.
