This sole-charge position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up into a manager-level role and make a real impact.
You will work closely with leaders and teams across the business to embed a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation, and drive continuous improvement.This role is a full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday based at our head office on Tidal Rd, Mangere.
While some flexibility is available, due to the nature of the role, onsite presence is essential.
We have manufacturing facilities in Auckland, Hamilton and Sydney and so occasional travel to Australia will be required.What You\'ll DoDevelop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standardsLead investigations into incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventative measuresConduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and manage hazardsProvide training, guidance, and support to employees at all levelsReport on health and safety performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management and the BoardAct as the primary contact for regulatory bodies and external auditorsPromote and foster a positive safety culture throughout the organisationQualificationsWhat You\'ll BringA relevant Health and Safety qualificationMinimum 4 years' experience in a business partner or higher-level role, preferably in manufacturingStrong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices (knowledge of Australian WHS legislation is an advantage)Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysisExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsA proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvementAdditional InformationWhy Join Us?
