We're looking for a with a passion for walking and cycling to join our Active Modes Group as a Senior Programme Specialist. You’d be part of a small team which delivers initiatives and programmes that engage more people to walk and wheel, more often.
The role is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative activation plans and community engagement to maximise utilisation of the cycle network, ongoing investment in bike hubs and organise cycle skills initiatives. It also includes initiatives to encourage end-to-end multimodal journeys.
You will also setup and deliver collaborative promotional campaigns and storytelling initiatives that help to positively support our work in walking and cycling initiatives as well as providing guidance to team members. Supporting the team to scale up delivery of community-based programmes that build capacity growth for cycling is part of your job as well as encouraging the use and growth of cycling infrastructure.
Key Tasks will include :
We are seeking a champion communicator with exceptional relationship building skills, able to easily establish effective working relationships across wide communities.
Ideally, you'll have experience, knowledge and understanding of establishing partnerships, managing relationships and behavioural science as well as a genuine passion for promoting walking and cycling initiatives.
Experience in managing programmes, budgets as well as reporting and evaluating the effectiveness of projects are vital to your success in this role.
