Blomfield Special School has a rare opportunity for a professionally confident and creative speech language therapist to join our supportive and dynamic specialists’ team .

We are a leading specialist school based in Whangarei, with a wide-reaching presence, currently through satellite classrooms in 6 mainstream schools, and a Transition programme for young adults aged 16–21. Our students, aged 5 to 21, are at the heart of everything we do - and so is our team.

We are seeking a professionally confident and creative speech language therapist who has a strong interest in working with learners facing complex communication, physical, sensory, and behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team of therapists, educators, and support professionals who bring expertise, empathy, and creativity to support our students. Keeping up with evidence‑based, and current practices is essential for this role. While knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Your salary will be determined based on your qualifications and relevant experience, in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.
