Senior Family Solicitor

My prestigious client is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor to join their team in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take on a varied and rewarding caseload while contributing to the firm's strong reputation in family law.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting clients with legal advice and representation across a broad range of family law matters, including separation, divorce, child custody, guardianship disputes, adoption, and property settlements.

Represent clients in the Family Court, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes.

Draft high-quality legal documents including affidavits, applications, submissions, and court pleadings.

Manage a varied and busy caseload with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

Maintain strong and trusting relationships with clients through clear communication and regular updates.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure the delivery of seamless, client-centred legal services.

Stay current with developments in New Zealand family law and contribute to legal thought leadership where appropriate.

About You

3+ years' PQE in family law.

Proven ability to handle a full range of family law matters with competence and compassion.

Strong legal acumen with excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Client-focused, with a deep understanding of the emotional and social dynamics in family law matters.

Skilled in negotiation and advocacy, with a track record of securing positive outcomes for clients.

A positive mentoring style and genuine interest in the development of junior lawyers.

Business development savvy, with an interest in contributing to the growth of the practice.
