OverviewDepot Manager – Nelson, New ZealandYou will lead the daily plant operations, manage staff and assist with the safe, efficient LPG delivery to customers.ResponsibilitiesA hands-on role, managing our New Plymouth Depots, overseeing daily operations to support the cylinder marketEnsure all distribution and filling activities are carried out safely and efficiently for LPG cylindersTrain staff to ensure all procedures follow company standards, delivering quality service to both internal and external customersYou will track and report productivity and efficiencyFind opportunities for improvement, creating cost-effective solutions and address problems quicklyAlso, you will manage the distribution team to achieve company goals, set individual objectives and performance expectations, and conduct formal development assessmentsQualificationsYou have more than two years experience in the Gas Industry, or a related industry with similar dynamics, with logistics / distribution experience at a supervisory levelClass 2 license with 2+ years delivery driving experience driving a manual transmissionBe physically fit, as there is lots of heavy lifting involvedA strong commitment to Health and Safety, and a solid understanding of compliance processes to meet statutory requirementsFurther, you have a proven leadership and relationship-building abilities, coupled with strong decision-making, problem solving and written and verbal communication skillsWhy you will love working with usWe identify ourselves with our products – either working for the technical or medical gases business.
