Technologist / Senior Technologist - Research and Applications

We are seeking a skilled Technologist / Senior Technologist with a strongpassion for research and applications to join our Research & Developmentteam.

This is a diverse role undertaking R&D with commercial intent acrosslaboratory, pilot, and factory scales, collaborating with internal teams andexternal partners to turn ideas into real products and processes.

Project work involves leading and delivering research and applicationprojects that enhance Tatua's product portfolio, supporting strategic R&Dobjectives and ensuring successful translation of research into commercialoutcome.

As a practical researcher, you will be required to familiarise yourselfwith Tatua's existing capabilities and integrate this knowledge to support ourongoing programs exploring precisionfermentation processes and assesses howTatua might commercially utilise these technologies in the future.

In this role you will :

Design, plan, and execute pilot experiments and product trials usingdairy and food processing techniques

Apply process engineering knowledge of key unit operations to practicalR&D plans

Conduct feasibility assessments of new products and technologies

Develop and refine functional performance assays to enhance products

Inspire trust that sound technical understanding and hypotheses underpinexperimental plans and process design

Communicate and inform effectively, when speaking, writing orpresenting.

Thesuccessful candidate will have :

R&D experience in dairy, food technology or process engineering

A relevant food technology, science or chemical / process engineeringdegree

Experience in conducting techno-economic analyses to assess thecommercial viability of new products and processes is advantageous

Experience in microbiological / fermentation production techniques andassociated separation and concentration technologies is valuable

Interpersonal skills to collaborate well and to lead project discussions andtrial planning
