OverviewArchway Recruitment is seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer to join a highly regarded consultancy delivering practical and innovative land development and infrastructure solutions across the Wellington and North Island regions.This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you'll have real variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects in roading, stormwater, wastewater, and water infrastructure.The RoleYou'll be involved across all stages of project delivery — from concept design and detailed planning through to construction management and client liaison.
Working within a supportive team environment, you'll manage and deliver a range of land development and three waters projects from start to finish.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivering civil engineering design and documentation for stormwater, drainage, water supply, sewerage, and roading projects.Preparing drawings, reports, calculations, and technical documentation.Managing projects end-to-end — budgets, contracts, tender documentation, site observations, and construction monitoring.Liaising with councils, contractors, and clients to ensure design compliance and effective project outcomes.Building and maintaining strong client relationships while achieving project and billing targets.Promoting safety and compliance across all stages of design and delivery.About youRequiredWe are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer who is competent in utilising 12D software for design who has proven experience working across land development, roading and three waters projects.
Key attributes and experience required include : Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) or equivalent.5+ years' experience in civil engineering, ideally within land development or three waters design.Proficient in AutoCAD and 12D, with experience in roading, earthworks, or services design.Strong technical background supported by on-site experience (e.g. drainage testing, erosion and sediment control).
Full, clean NZ driver's licence and residency or citizenship.You will need to have open work rights in New Zealand.
