Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care) — Mangere, Auckland | FT / PT|Clinical Lead Pathway

Location : South Auckland (Auckland, NZ) | Employment : Full-time or Part-time (Clinical Lead pathway opportunity)

Salary / Wages : Negotiable (plus CPD support)

Te Ora Puāwai is a Māori and Pacific-led health and social service organisation in South Auckland. We partner with whānau to improve wellbeing through integrated, culturally grounded care. Waiora Wellness Clinic delivers wrap-around clinical and social services with a strong mātauranga Māori and Pacific lens. Our team brings GP, mental health, and social services grounded in cultural safety, equality, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The Role

We’re seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care across the life course. You’ll diagnose and treat, prescribe, lead care planning, and work closely with our navigators, GPs, Nurses, etc, to deliver seamless, culturally safe care for whānau.

For the right person, there’s a clear pathway to Clinical Lead responsibilities (mentoring, clinical governance, quality improvement).

You Bring

  • Nurse Practitioner scope with current NCNZ registration & practising certificate (incl. prescribing)
  • NP endorsement pending / very close (transitional support may be considered)
  • Primary care / community experience is great; urgent care or LTC management is a plus, but not essential
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient / whānau education skills
  • Commitment to Māori & Pacific health equity and culturally safe practice
  • Proficiency with PMS / EMR and data‑informed care planning

Nice to Have

  • Leadership / mentoring experience; Authorised Vaccinator (or willingness to obtain)
  • Te reo Māori and / or Pacific languages (any level)
  • Full or restricted NZ driver's license
