Your Duties

Scheduling (Primary)

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring all jobs are planned to meet customer deadlines and strict DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) expectations.
  • Monitor and manage scheduling daily, resolving conflicts or delays through effective communication, facilitation, and problem-solving.
  • Allocate jobs to appropriate press technologies based on label specifications, material requirements, and production efficiency.
  • Liaise regularly with the Production Manager to align planned work with operational capacity, labor availability (including overtime), and performance targets.

  • Prepare and deliver press performance and schedule updates for production discussions and meetings as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in process reviews, identifying efficiency gains, and contributing to cross‑functional improvement projects.
  • Foster high levels of verbal and written communication across departments, especially between Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Production teams.
  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team as required.
  • Provide local and group (Intranet) lead‑time updates.
  • Cooperate on quality investigations related to schedule or production performance issues.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned within the Scheduling and Planning scope.

Planning (Secondary)

  • Provide secondary support to the Scheduling function, stepping in as needed to manage planning responsibilities during periods of increased workload, staff absence, or other disruptions that may impact timely scheduling.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of job specifications and planning data, aligned with established processes, customer requirements, and business KPIs.
  • Plan and schedule jobs to support cost‑effective production and optimal performance outcomes, considering capacity and resource availability.
  • Monitor planning workload daily, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and business impact while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Proactively manage and communicate any discrepancies, including pricing or job detail concerns, escalating to the Services or General Manager for resolution and approval.
  • Collaborate with CSRs, Production, and Services to address potential delays, ensure smooth workflow, and maintain alignment with customer expectations.
  • Maintain a strong focus on the quality and accuracy of planning outputs, ensuring all planned work supports right‑first‑time production.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and recommending process enhancements that improve efficiency and data integrity.
