This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative projects across stormwater, wastewater, and potable water systems, while developing strong client relationships throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
In this pivotal role, you'll play a key part in unlocking local opportunities, securing future work, and expanding WSP's presence in the Bay of Plenty region.What You'll DoDeliver high-quality investigations, analysis, and reporting across 3 Waters projects.Prepare practical, buildable designs and treatment solutions, including calculations and drawings.Lead feasibility studies and produce reports that support client decision-making.Support clients with asset condition assessments, renewals planning, and long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with LTP and AMP requirements.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region.Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients as a go-to technical advisor.Lead or contribute to proposals, bids, and presentations aligned with client needs and WSP's strategic goals.Assist in preparing project briefs, fee estimates, and manage projects with clear reporting.What You'll BringBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.Ideally 10+ years of professional experience in 3 Waters engineering or a closely related discipline.Hold Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards this.Proven experience in a seller / doer role, with a strong track record of identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.An established civil and water engineering professional network within the Bay of Plenty region.Strong technical, analytical, and project management capabilities.A client-focused mindset with a passion for sustainable, practical solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach to work.Why Whakatane?
